IP Infusion’s OcNOS demonstrates compliance with the highest industry standards for Carrier Ethernet, meeting strict service provider requirements.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., October 22, 2024 IP Infusion, a global leader in open networking solutions, today announced that its innovative network operating system, OcNOS®, achieved MEF 3.0 Carrier Ethernet certification for E-Line, ELAN, and E-Tree, demonstrating the company’s conformance to rigorous specifications established by MEF, the industry’s defining authority. OcNOS is the first Open Networking NOS to receive MEF certification, showcasing its capability to provide seamless, standards-based Ethernet software services with reliable interoperability and performance features.

MEF is a global industry association of network, cloud, security, and technology providers accelerating enterprise digital transformation. MEF 3.0 certifications offer a method for industry organizations to confirm compliance with industry-led MEF 3.0 standards for services and the technology used to enable those services, thereby accelerating their product development, sales cycles, and service implementations.

The certification process has successfully validated IP Infusion’s OcNOS (OcNOS-SP-PLUS) software running on the UfiSpace S9510-28DC white box switch. This achievement confirms the system’s compliance with MEF standards for Carrier Ethernet (CE) services, including E-Line (EPL, EVPL), E-LAN (EP-LAN, EVP-LAN), and E-Tree (EP-Tree, EVP-Tree).

“Congratulations to IP Infusion on its latest MEF 3.0Carrier Ethernet certification,” said Nan Chen, President of MEF. “Companies who purchase from a certified MEF 3.0 service provider can have confidence they will receive services that conform to MEF’s industry-leading global standards.
