Industry’s most comprehensive DCSG solution
delivers support for Qumran-UX platform with ecosystem partners
SANTA CLARA, Calif., September 2, 2021 –IP Infusion, a leading provider of network disaggregation solutions for telecom and data communications operators, today announced a Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG) solution that supports cell site routing (CSR) platforms for Broadcom’s StrataDNX™ Qumran-UX switching silicon.
IP Infusion’s OcNOS®-based solution provides platform support for disaggregated networks built with white box hardware from ecosystem partners, including Edgecore Networks, UfiSpace and Delta. The supported platforms on the Broadcom Qumran-UX chipset include Edgecore AS5915-18X, UfiSpace S9501-18SMT, and UfiSpace S9501-28SMT.
IP Infusion’s carrier-grade disaggregated networking solutions allow network operators to create innovative services and accelerate new revenue streams. Its validated network operating system, combined with the choice of best-of-breed hardware, supports a diverse range of networking use cases. With IP Infusion’s Advanced Support Services, network operators can migrate seamlessly to an end-to-end disaggregated networking solution that delivers lower operating costs.
The OcNOS network operating system-based solution supports cost optimized white-box cell site gateway devices based on and fully compliant with Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) DCSG specifications, including support for segment routing, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), and timing. This DCSG solution provides cell site backhaul networking for carriers with existing 4G LTE and future 5G mobile infrastructure. The OcNOS cell site router solution is available on a wide variety of DCSG platforms supporting varied switching capacities from 64 Gbps bidirectional switching to 300 Gbps bidirectional switching.
Broadcom’s StrataDNX Qumran-UX switch chipset series provide an end-to-end portfolio of switching systems, helping carriers build highly-scalable, feature-rich, centralized, fixed or modular aggregation switches to enable cloud-scale networking and carrier network applications.
“With this solution to support Broadcom’s Qumran-UX switching silicon, IP Infusion is expanding the opportunities for network operators to take advantage of disaggregated networking,” said Atsushi Ogata, President and CEO of IP Infusion. “Now more service providers can move to a disaggregated networking solution, instead of using traditional and costly single-vendor solutions, and have an easy path to rapid innovation, more services and revenue.”
