Northbound Controller Integration Using REST APIs
Typical network deployments involve management controllers monitoring devices from various vendors using standard interfaces. IP Maestro 3.0 introduces the capability to integrate with existing management controllers in the network via a REST based interface.
IP Maestro 3.0 gives management controllers a single pane to manage a cluster of OcNOS network elements. IP Maestro provides device monitoring and management for OcNOS devices using a Netconf interface while it exposes a REST API based interface on the northbound side for integration with the controller.
Text Configuration Push – CLI and JSON
Network administrators and operators are moving towards network automation and IP Maestro 3.0 allows network operators to push configurations from IP Maestro to OcNOS devices via a clean web-based interface. Typically, in end-to-end deployments, network operators have carefully curated configurations for every network element. IP Maestro allows customers to upload such device configs and push them onto the OcNOS based network elements. In addition to accepting CLI based configurations, IP Maestro can also accept JSON based configs which help in network automation.
Japanese Language Support
IP Maestro is built with Internationalization (i18n) support for multiple languages. This enables easy rollout of multiple languages to interface with IP Maestro. In the 3.0 release, we have enabled Japanese language support as an option
Streaming Telemetry Support
Streaming Telemetry is fast becoming the preferred option for monitoring of network elements.
The functionality is being introduced into OcNOS for device monitoring. With OcNOS able to stream telemetry data, IP Maestro has been enabled to accept such incoming raw data and present it in a manner that helps network operators to visualize the status of the network elements.
Show Tech Support on OcNOS
The ability to debug network elements is a key feature for fault detection and isolation. IP Maestro 3.0 introduces the ability to issue detailed debug commands towards OcNOS devices. The debug command collects relevant logs on OcNOS and makes it available for further inspection and analysis.
