IP Maestro 2.0 General Availability – Point-and-Click for OcNOS Networking

IP Infusion announces the launch of IP Maestro 2.0, our Element Management System (EMS) for managing and monitoring OcNOS based network elements.

IP Maestro 2.0 provides an enhanced web user interface for managing OcNOS devices. The improvements in this release include enhancements to Configuration Management, Fault Management and Device Management capabilities.

IP Maestro 2.0 delivers new features such as Role Based Access Control (RBAC) with LDAP authentication to allow network administrators to monitor OcNOS devices using their existing Active Directory (AD) based network login credentials.

For Fault Management, the faults and alarms generated by devices are captured and maintained in a centralized repository to allow for network monitoring. Enhancements have been made to easily track and identify data in the centralized repository.  Additionally, the operator also has the option of triggering a notification via an email to a pre-configured network admin alias upon detecting a fault.

Configuration Management capabilities have been enhanced to allow for system backups on a remote server. This allows the IP Maestro system settings as well as the configurations to be downloaded as a compressed file on a remote system. Subsequently, restore from a downloaded backup is also supported.

Continued enhancements on visualization of the physical network topology are delivered via a convenient user-interface providing visual cues on link health and customizable color schemes.

Device Config Diff is also available to view the changes between two sets of OcNOS configurations.

Inventory Management continues to provide customers with a single pane to view and manage all their OcNOS devices. The customizable representation enables operators to access device details with a click of a button.

Device details such as the status of the port, fan speed as well as information on the Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) is easily accessible. Additionally, details are also made available for the transceivers plugged into the device ports.

IP Maestro provides a widget-based dashboard which provides the users the option to monitor and manage desired device details.

With IP Maestro, IP Infusion is providing its valuable customer base the migration solution from CLI based configuration model to an intuitive web-based interface, which delivers on the latest expectations of an Element Management System.
