Product Life Cycle
Introduction
This document describes the OcNOS software release life cycle, and its end-of-sale and end-of-life policies.
OcNOS End of Sale and End of Life
Every OcNOS version will have a life cycle of 5 years from the date of release as shown in Figure 1
- End of Sale (EoS) is 3 years after the General Availability (GA) of a product. EoS notification will be made 2 years, 6 months after product release (6 months before the actual EoS).
- End of Life (EoL) is 2 years after EoS.
General Availability (GA)
IP Infusion provide new features and new platform support in addition to bug fixes. The OcNOS and IP Maestro software comes ready for deployment anywhere in customer networks where their features and functionality of the release are of value. General Availability (GA) releases are stable releases that have gone through a complete QA test cycle, including regression, scalability, interoperability and long-term stability testing. These deployment- ready releases provide advanced software capabilities on the latest available commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms.
Figure 2 shows OcNOS 6.5.x product life cycle with the GA date as August 2024, a maintenance release (MR), OcNOS 6.5.3 for October 2024 and announcement for EoS in February 2027.
Maintenance Release (MR)
IP Infusion will address issues identified in a particular GA release via a Maintenance Release (MR). Typically, MRs are delivered 60-90 days after the GA release. Based on the number of incoming defects subsequent MRs are scheduled if necessary.

IP Maestro End of Sale and End of Life
Every software version will have life cycle of 5 years from the date of release as shown in Figure 1
- End of Sale (EoS) is 2.5 years after product release. EoS notification will be made 2 years after product release (6 months before the actual EoS).
- End of Life (EoL) is 2.5 years after EoS.
Between EoS and EoL, Maintenance and Support (M&S) SKUs will be available for purchase.
